Los Angeles County has been the place of at least 12 Chinatowns starting in the latter 1800s. Many began as a small business or residence and faded away while others became a robust town within a city offering its inhabitants economic opportunities, housing and services.
7 Glendora Chinatown
Like many small Chinatown's that started in the 1880's Glendora Chinatown was the home of Chinese laborers who worked in the booming agriculture industry. By the early 1890's, Glendora Chinatown had disappeared.
